Meet Amy Jones

South African singer-songwriter Amy Jones is known for her uplifting contemporary pop sound, powerful vocals and warm, engaging stage presence.

A guitarist and songwriter as well as a vocalist, Amy's music moves comfortably between feel-good pop, acoustic performance and dance-inspired sounds.

Her career has taken her from Idols South Africa to national radio, major festivals, international performances and some of South Africa's biggest stages.

She has performed at DHL Stadium, the Formula E Fan Park, internationally in the UK and Zambia, and has also performed for President Cyril Ramaphosa.

Music lovers may recognise Amy from songs including “Dance on My Own”, which spent five consecutive weeks at No. 1 on Heart FM and later featured in the Netflix series Jiva!.

Her collaboration “You and Me” with CINIMIN also won Best EDM Song at the 2018 Dance Music Awards South Africa.

Now, Slowdown Sundays offers audiences an opportunity to experience another side of Amy.

Expect the music to feel closer, more personal and more connected — moving beyond the traditional concert experience into storytelling, stripped-back moments and the feel-good energy Amy has become known for.
